Feb 2nd Association Meeting Report

The meeting on the 2nd of February was very productive. There were some small problems that are currently being addressed. At the time of the meeting the clubhouse was only receiving partial power and the incoming water pressure was extremely low. We were also informed that the current Clubhouse coordinator, Irma, was resigning and Sara Haxton has offered to replace her. The Association is still in need of volunteers to fill key positions on the board, these positions are President, Vice-President, and Assistant Treasurer. The Position of Treasurer will be held by the current Treasurer, Janet Thomas. Sara Haxton has been nominated as Secretary. Assessment dues have been sent out on February 2nd for the 2009 year. The Association books are currently being audited for the 2009-2010 fiscal year. Also it was decided to stay with the current Lawn care service for the current year starting in March 2009. They have made the request that residents refrain from parking around the Village Drive Circle common area on Wednesdays starting in March to allow them to mow the area.
Pool Committee Report:
The Pool Committee received a letter from the Delaware Health and Social
Services to ensure that the pool is Virginia Graeme Baker Act compliant.
They also informed the Association that they are going to use Cannon to care
for the pool and to make repairs as needed to bring the main pool up to
code. The Pool Committee are currently weighting the options of where to
acquire Life Guards for the 2009 summer. The committee has agreed to get an
open sign for the pool and to replace the rules board. The pool will open
only if the money is there to run it. The final word on whether the pool
will open for the 2009 summer will be made in late April or early May. Also
put up for discussion was how to address the children of the parents who
have not paid their assessments. This is still an ongoing discussion that
will be rectified before the pools opening..
